HOLLAND MARIE

Now based in Nashville, Tennessee – Holland Marie Stroud began her journey as a live performer in her home state of North Carolina when she was just 10 years old. Just four years later, she was co-host with a young man who would become an American Idol runner-up, Clay Aiken.

Holland’s early career would lead to numerous wards that include two-time state Colgate Country Music Showdown champ and winner of the Fox 50 “Gimme The Mic” competition when she blew the judges away with her rendition of “When A Man Loves A Woman.”

Soon after her competition success, Holland formed her first band called Johnston County Line. The band backed her at local and regional venues across the mid-Atlantic area. Holland learned the ropes of managing a band while gaining tons of live show experience, playing everything for country dance halls to honky tonks to festivals.

Knowing that to take her aspirations as a professional singer and songwritter to the new level she’d have to go where the happening is at, Holland packed up her belongings and headed north-west to Nashville. Since early 2009, Holland has been honing her voice, stage presense and writing skills – while taking advantage of the history and culture the Music City has to offer.

Although she has been performing for over a decade now, she knows that her journey is still in its early stages – as she works toward taking herself to the next level.
